14 Jun KP Govt Bans Illegal Construction at Tourist Sites
The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has banned the illegal construction at tourist sites all across the province.
During a meeting held in Peshawar, this decision was taken. The local government Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai chaired the meeting.
The concerned authorities were directed by the minister to ensure that tourist sites are clean. Commercial activities in tourist sites are not allowed unless prior permission is taken.
Tarakai also emphasized the need for the publication and distribution of maps that are related to the tourist spots. The aim is to guide and facilitate the tourists in every possible manner.
The decision aimed to end encroachments and offer maximum relief to the tourists in traveling and their stay. Also, this step will promote tourism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It is important that we preserve our tourist spots. If companies start constructing illegal buildings at tourist sites than the beauty of these places will be lost. Thus this step taken by KP might appear harsh but it is necessary.
Earlier we also informed our readers that the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa decided to crack down and fine the tourists who were found littering the valleys and mountains of the province.
